Irene Catherine (Colgan) Quinn, 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully December 30 in Ridgefield after a long illness. She was the devoted wife of Terrance John Quinn.

Her daughter Carol Quinn Rodriguez and son-in-law James Rodriguez, formerly of Newtown and now of St Johns, Fla., sons Thomas Quinn, Litchfield, Edward Quinn, and his wife Linda, Northport, N.Y.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive Mrs Quinn. A granddaughter, Melissa; two sisters, Cecelia O’Donnell and Jane Gaffney; and brother, Frank Colgan, predeceased her.

Mrs Quinn worked for many years for American Bakeries and then at The Ancient Mariner in Ridgefield, owned by son Thomas. 

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Sunday, January 5, from 2 to 5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, Monday, January 6, at 10:30 am.
