Newtown Community Center welcomed 150 children, and additional guests including parents and caregivers, for Noon Year’s Eve last weekend.

The December 31 party started with a balloon drop at 11 am. DJ Austin Dailey from Red Supreme Productions taught the guests several fancy dance moves, served as the emcee for the event, and awarded long glow sticks to the best dancers.

In addition to the dancing there were craft tables to make party hats and other decorations, a balloon artist, face painting, a 2024 Step and Repeat photo backdrop, festive cardboard signs and holiday masks for the children to take home, noise makers, goodie bags, gold tinsel draped doorways, and refreshments.

A confetti cannon release at noon after a countdown from ten seconds to noon concluded the celebration.
