Newtown’s First Baby

The Newtown Bee is still looking for the town’s First Baby of 2010. It’s the time of year when we at The Bee are looking forward to celebrating the first Newtown baby born in the new year.

As usual, merchants from throughout the community are helping to make this a special event through donations of many gifts and services — lunches and dinners, champagne, gift certificates galore, facials for mom, a flower arrangement, tickets for movies at Edmond Town Hall, a starter savings account, even a subscription to The Newtown Bee, among other goodies — for the first baby and the parents who win the contest.

The winning parents will be the ones who send the earliest birth date to The Bee by Tuesday, January 12. Accompanying documentation must include a note from your doctor stating the exact time and date of the baby’s birth, the place of birth, sex, weight, and name of the baby, and the name and address of the parents. The parents must be residents of Newtown.
