Homeowners ProgramsThe Assessor's Office will beaccepting applications from February 1, 2022 to May 13, 2022 for theElderly and Disabled Homeowners Programs. Applications will beaccepted between the hours of 8:00 A.M. And 4:30 P.M. Monday throughFriday.To be eligible for the program,applicants must own a house and be a resident of that dwelling as ofOctober 1, 2021 to which the tax credit will be applied. Theapplicant must be 65 years of age or over as of December 31, 2021,or be totally disabled. Eligible applicants can have an income of$46,400 or less for a married couple, or $38,100 or less for asingle person. Proof of 2021 income must be provided. Such proof mayinclude a copy of a 2021 Tax Return, if required to file one, 1099bank statements showing interest earned, pension statements,dividend statements, Statement of Earnings from the Social SecurityAdministration (SSA 1099 or SSA 2458).Details about this program maybe received by contacting the Assessor's Office at 203-270-4240.
