The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library’s first-ever children’s and young adult pop-up book sale at the C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, which began on January 4, has been extended.

Originally scheduled to conclude on January 30, the sale will now continue to February 27, the Friends announced last week.

Located on the second floor of the library near the main circulation desk during library hours, this sale features a wide variety of affordable, good quality books, DVDs, and activity-related items for children of all ages, particularly jigsaw puzzles and games. Books on parenting and child development are also available.

For ease of selection, the books are organized by reading level. Stock will be replenished frequently over the course of the sale.

The Friends of C.H. Booth Library’s Little Book Store remains open, also on the second floor of the library near the main circulation desk, just in another corner of the library.

The Friends and the library ask that visitors follow current public health guidelines to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and use the hand sanitizer available while shopping. Sanitizing stations are available throughout the building to keep the library and library grounds a safe place for the community.

For an added measure of safety, the Friends offers contactless payment options. Shoppers can leave cash or a check in the secure cash boxes available or go to boothbooksale.org to pay by credit or debit card, or use a PayPal account. Check the library website at chboothlibrary.org or call 203-426-4533 to confirm library hours.

Some of the items on sale for the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library’s first-ever children’s and young adult pop-up book sale at the C.H. Booth Library are situated on a table near the start of the sale in early January. —Bee Photo, Hallabeck
