William “Moe” Moseley, Jr, of Newtown, passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 73, with his wife and son by his side. Bill was born August 10, 1948, to the late William and Marilyn Moseley.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 47 years, Rosemarie (Eaton); son, William III; and the “apple of his eye,” his grandson Jackson who called him “Pop Pop.” He is also survived by his sisters, JoAnn Peck of Sandy Hook, Conn., and Donna Manthe (Ron) of Bellingham, Mass.; his brother, Robert of Worcester, Mass.; his last surviving aunt, Bernice Hawver of Rosendale, N.Y.; and his nieces and nephews, Kim McCarroll, David Peck, Dawn Bogonis, Heather Whitney, and Jesse Moseley. He will be missed by all.

Bill was employed by the Town of Newtown Highway Department for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2006. He was an inactive member of amateur radio and now the silent key (N1GUU). Bill loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping with family.

Bill was a survivor of pancreatic cancer in 2016 and had the Whipple surgery. In August 2021 he had an EVAR surgery after an aneurysm, but his health failed from then.

Our thanks to the team of Danbury Hospice during his last few days in these trying times.

There will be no calling hours as he is being cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
