Coin Collection At Middle Gate

To Help Haiti

Students at Middle Gate Elementary School are asked to bring in 100 coins — pennies nickels, dimes, quarters, whatever is possible — to add to a collection for Haiti. Students do not have to bring in 100 coins, but can bring in any number that is affordable. The coin collection is running through the 100th day of school, scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, if there are no more school closings due to weather.

On the 100th day, students will count the coins and create a grade level graph of the coins collected by each grade. The collection will then be donated to Habitat For Humanity to assist the charity organization in building homes, schools, and more in Haiti.
