Government Cheese

To the Editor:

It has been reported today (February 2 issue of National Post) that the Newfoundland premier (governor of Newfoundland) is coming to the United States for heart surgery.

Now we welcome him and wish him well; but all during the health care debates, we have been told how wonderful the Canadian health care system is — if it’s so great, why would the leader of the Newfoundland Providence come here for health care?

Senator Dodd and Congressman Murphy, could you be so kind as to tell us dummies why this is happening? After all, you have been touting the health care bill as the best thing since sliced bread — of course you and your families will not enroll since you have your own system that we dummies will never be able to enroll into.

Still looking for my government cheese — anybody know where I can go to find it?
