Sally Alexander, of Valdosta, Ga., died January 25, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Henry and Phoebe Rick Lingg.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Nancy A. and Stephen Walrath of Sandy Hook, and Jean Dale Alexander of Absecon, N. J.; and three grandchildren. Mrs Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. “Bob” Alexander; parents, and a brother.

She had lived in Valdosta for the past 33 years and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Mrs Alexander enjoyed time spent at the Garden Club, with family and her many friends, playing bridge, playing golf, and going to lunch. She loved her cats and the beach.  

A memorial service was held January 29.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lowndes County Humane Society.
