The Genealogy Club of Newtown will host its next open meeting on Wednesday, March 9, at 7 pm. Meetings are held in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown.

While meetings begin promptly at 7, the club invites guests to arrive early and converse with other genealogists and enjoy some light refreshments. All are welcome.

This month's guest speaker is Heather Young, from Godfrey Memorial Library in Middletown.

Incorporated in 1947 and open since May 1951, the mission of Godfrey Memorial Library is to promote the study of family history. The Godfrey houses over 200,000 books and resources for researching genealogy, biography and history. Many of the materials are unique records and family histories donated by patrons.

Ms Young's presentation will highlight these resources, available onsite and online, and will focus on examples, and how to use them for research.

Reservations are not needed, but additional information is available by calling 203-304-1100 or 203-426-3981.
