Henry “Bud” Trenka, of Stamford, died March 3. He was born on November 28, 1943, in New York City, to Henry A. Trenka and Mary (Indrisek) Trenka.

Henry is survived by his sister, Dolores A. Ruscoe, of Newtown; nephew, Jonathan Jenkins; niece, Beth A. West; and many cousins and lifelong friends.

Bud grew up in Gaylordsville and graduated from New Milford High School in 1961. Henry’s professional career included years as a flight instructor and then as owner of Bud Trenka Photographics in Stamford. A freak bicycle accident left him a paraplegic in 1999. He continued to live an active life until complications from paralysis claimed his life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, on Monday, March 8. Interment will be in St Francis Cemetery, New Milford, in the spring.
