In an effort to help foster business opportunities in the greater Newtown area, the Newtown Chamber of Commerce continues to host free monthly networking events open to all local business professionals.

The next event will be held at Sal e Pepe Contemporary Italian Bistro, 97 South Main Street, on Wednesday, March 11, from 8 to 9 am. This month’s event will feature Melisa Webster, president of Newtown’s Flagpole BNI. 

Ms Webster’s presentation, titled “Marketing and Growing Your Business Beyond the Chamber,” will include an informative discussion on getting the most out of a Chamber of Commerce membership as well as how to market a small business outside of the group.

Ms Webster and her organization work with small businesses as a referral program with various chapters throughout Connecticut. The Newtown chapter provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment for the development and exchange of quality business referrals.

Light refreshments will be served.

The breakfast networking session is sponsored by the Newtown Chamber of Commerce and is held on the second Wednesday of each month. 

There is no charge to attend this event and reservations are not necessary.
