C.H. Booth Library, at 25 Main Street, is hosting a photography exhibition of works by members of Candlewood Camera Club during the month of March. The collection is on view in the lower meeting room.

An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 4 pm.

A variety of subject matter is on view including landscapes, nature, photojournalism, digitally altered images, streetscapes/cityscapes, and portraits. Candlewood Camera Club members draw inspiration from their immediate environments, nature, travel (near and far), architecture, sports, zoos, botanical gardens, local assignments, and from assigned subjects for competitions.

Founded in 1948, the camera club is a group of approximately 60 photography enthusiasts of all skill levels and ages, from the greater Danbury area. CCC meets twice each month, from the end of August until June, at Danbury Recreation Hall, 7 Hayestown Avenue in Danbury, to share knowledge, engage in competition, and enjoy photo shoots and informative speakers.

Meetings begin at 7:30 pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Visit CandlewoodCamera.com for additional information about the club.

A collection of images by members of Candlewood Camera Club, including this one by Ed Simmons, is on view this month at C.H. Booth Library. An opening reception is scheduled for the afternoon of March 7.
