Newtown High School Baseball Coach Matt Memoli will run an April Vacation Baseball Academy, during the week of April 14-18, for players ages 7-14. The program will be split into middle school and a youth baseball sessions.

The Middle School Academy program is for players in grades 7-8 and designed to help them develop the skills necessary to perform at the high school level. Players will learn hitting, fielding, and base running from Newtown High coaches and players along with area high school/college coaches. Players will also receive position specific instruction.

The youth program offers players an intense workout in which they will learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. Players will develop a positive mental attitude, learning self confidence, work ethic, and discipline.
