Thomas J.   Lynch

Thomas J. Lynch, 82, of Danbury, formerly of Bethel, died March 14 at Danbury Health Care. He was the husband of Annette C. Hodson Lynch

Mr Lynch was born in the Bronx, N.Y., November 2, 1921, a son of the late Thomas and Frances Schmehl Lynch.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kenneth T. Lynch of Sandy Hook, Michael F. Lynch of Newtown, and Timothy J. Lynch of Danbury; a daughter, Kathleen A. Galbis of Bethel; and two grandchildren.

He served in the Army during World War II in Europe and in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He lived in New York before moving to Bethel in 1952. Tom worked at Sperry Rail Service in Danbury and for 15 years at Perkin Elmer in Danbury before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the VFW in New York and of the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a former member of St Mary’s Church in Bethel.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 16 in the Church of St Mary, Bethel.

Burial was in St Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel.
