BETHEL – Time to get those bikes out of the garage, kids – it’s BMX time!

The Bethel Supercross BMX track at A. Mitchell Field off Old Hawleyville Road will be opening for the season on Saturday, April 15, with a Bike Maintenance Clinic (11 am to 12:30 pm) and a Bizzarro Clinic (1 to 3 pm).

The spring and summer schedule:

Saturday, April 15 – Bike Maintenance Clinic from 11 am to 12:30 pm; Bizzarro Clinic from 1 to 3 pm; Beginner and New Rider Orientation and Setup from 1 to 3 pm.

Sunday, April 16 – First race and equipment swap – signup and practice from 11 am to 1 pm. Gate drops at 2 pm (race counts for track and NBL points).

Wednesday, May 10 – Regular race.

Wednesday, May 17 – New Colony 5 Diner Race.

Wednesday, May 24 – Regular race – President’s Cup Fund Raising Night.

Wednesday, May 31 – Memorial Day Race – Single Point team race.

Wednesday, June 7 – No race: practice and clinic from 6 to 8 pm.

Friday, June 9 – Double Point race – team race (pre-registration only).

Wednesday, June 14 – Flag Day race.

Wednesday, June 21 – Bethel Police Department race.

Wednesday, June 28 – Regular race – President’s Cup Fund Raising Night.

Wednesday, July 5 – 5th Annual Independence Day Picnic race.

Wednesday, July 12 – No race: practice and clinic from 6 to 8 pm.

Friday, July 14 – Double Point race – team race (pre-registration only).

Wednesday, July 19 – Bob Warnicke/NBL Scholarship Race.

Wednesday, July 26 – Regular race – President’s Cup Fund Raising Night.

Wednesday, August 2 – Rider Appreciation Night.

Wednesday, August 9 – Regular race.

Wednesday, August 16 – Volunteer Appreciation Night.

Wednesday, August 23 – Regular race – President’s Cup Fund Raising Night.

Wednesday, August 30 - $2 Night: Points only.

All Wednesday races: Signup is from 4 to 5:30 pm with a 6:45 pm drop of the gate. To qualify for an award at Supercross at the end of the 200 racing season, you must have started in at least eight races between April 16 and August 30.
