Water Safety Instructor Course

A Water Safety Instructor Course will start Monday, April 17, 2000 at the Newtown High School pool. The Department is particularly interested in having adults take this course. If you have a swimming background and would be interested in teaching swimming to children during the fall and winter months, please call Barbara Kasbarian at 270-4340. This course is open to anyone 17 years and older. For further information, please call the Parks and Recreation office.

Dickinson Town Park

Little Recers

Because of the demand for this program, we are trying to set up an afternoon class which would start on April 20th from 12 noon - 2 p.m. and run for eight weeks.  The fee for the eight week session is $68.00.  Group play, music and creative dramatics are just a sampling of the activities conducted in this pre-school program.  Children must have turned three by December 31, 1999 and must be toilet-trained.  We need three more children enrolled in order for this afternoon class to happen.  If interested, call the Parks and Recreation office at 270-4340.
