New Milford Youth Hockey Champions

The New Milford Squirt ‘A’ team won the Division III Connecticut Hockey Conference State Championship (with a win over Ridgefield) thanks, in part, to the efforts of Newtown residents Mike Jurasek, Danny Murtha and Tyler Bigham (pictured left, left to right). Meanwhile, the New Milford Squirt ‘C’ team won the annual Central Connecticut Squirt C Invitational Tournament (with a victory over Bridgeport) thanks, in part, to the efforts of Newtown residents Francis Oggeri, Amanda LaPorta, Kevin Jurasek and Justin Pacheco (pictured right, left to right). In other action on the New Milford ice, Brennan Coakley, Scott Grant, Josh Rouse and Ryan Bigham helped lead the New Milford Pee Wee ‘A’ team to the Division III Connecticut State Championship while Al Mazur, Greg Mayer, and Patrick Coakley helped lead the New Milford Bantam ‘A’ team to the Division IV Connecticut State Championship.
