Longtime Coach Maureen Maher, who played the role of assistant when Nancy Anderson stepped into the head coaching role last spring, is back in place as the head coach for the Nighthawks in 2022, and Maher is looking forward to what the season will bring.

“We are very excited about our team this year. We have many returning players that were key players last year. The freshmen that have made the team this year bring a tremendous amount of talent,” Maher said. “We are going to be a very strong team this year. We cannot wait for our season to begin.”

Returning players are senior captains Amelia Hufschmied, Kessler Rhoden, and Madi Singlak.

Other returnees are juniors Kristen Reisert, Erin Marshall, Olivia Guizzo, Ella Morits, and Molly Lyddy, along with sophomore Margaret Donovan.

The team welcomes junior newcomer Caitlin Briggs and senior first-time team member Melina Cummings, in addition to a handful of freshmen: Willow Asante-LaBash, Jamie Rowan, Brooke Jackson, Sophia Dutsar, and Emma Lyddy.

The slate is set to begin Wednesday, April 6, when Masuk of Monroe visits at 3:45 pm. Weather-permitting, the Nighthawks open up with two matches in as many days with Brookfield set to visit April 7 at the same time.
