DANBURY — All area chess players are invited to test their skills against some of the area’s top players at the Western Connecticut Open on Saturday, April 15.

The open will be held at Quality Inn, on Newtown Road (Exit 8 off I-84). Bring sets, boards, clocks and a friend.

Registration is scheduled to begin at 9 am. Entry fees are $35 per person, with a $5 discount for players under 18 or over age 65.
