The EverWonder Children’s Museum will reopen on Saturday, April 4, at its new 31 Pecks Lane location.

Business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; and, beginning April 12, Sundays from noon to 5.

Guests can view the newest exhibit, Flight Lab, and returning favorites like the Ball Run and the Imagination Playground.

Museum visitors can also explore a new Young Explorers Zone, designed just for toddlers. The new Young Explorers Zone includes the Nature Center room, Build a City room, and Light, Sound and Shapes room.

Admission is $7 per person (child or adult); family memberships are $120.

A formal grand reopening celebration and festivities is being planned for June 6.

Formed in 2011 by a group of parents whose purpose is to open and operate an interactive museum for children and families in northern Fairfield County, EverWonder provides hands-on learning activities and exhibits in the science, mathematics, arts, and technology fields that are customized to inspire ages 2 through 12.

Closed since August 2014 so that volunteers could prepare and then move into the new space, the museum offered a number of interactive learning programs for children at schools and other locations across the region, EverWonder Children's Museum will reopen this weekend. The EverWonder Experience began visiting libraries and community centers in towns throughout northern Fairfield County and the greater Danbury and Waterbury I-84 corridor in September.

Information about upcoming events, memberships, and the new facility is also available on the museum’s website, everwondermuseum.org, or by e-mailing info@everwondermuseum.org.

The new space at 31 Pecks Lane is very close to the museum’s previous location, also on Pecks Lane, but at roughly 7,000 square feet, the new space is more than triple the size of the old.

The museum’s reopening is due in large part to funds raised and grants met during a winter fundraising campaign. The recent effort raised $40,000, and the museum will receive $25,000 in matching funds from the Jeniam Foundation, along with the EverWonder board’s own match of $15,000.

EverWonder is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and serves families in a 20-mile radius.

EverWonder Children’s Museum has announced its special events for the month of January.
