Alice Williams, 95, formerly of Newtown, died April 2, at The Summit at Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Cecil Williams. She was born January 22, 1920, in Yonkers, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Barbara (Laucus) and William LaButis.

Mrs Williams was a member of the Bethel Art League. She had been a professional artist, winning several awards. She was also a parishioner of St Dominic Church in Southington.

A son, Warren Williams, and a daughter, Barbara Heuer, both of Southington; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Williams. Her son Richard Williams, three sisters, and two brothers predeceased her.

Her funeral mass will take place directly at 11 am, Tuesday, April 7, at St Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. There are no calling hours.
