Barbara Lee Morris, 62, of Newtown died March 30, after a short illness. She was born in Bridgeport, September 6, 1953.

Owner of Barbara Lee’s Boutique in Monroe for 29 years, Barbara graduated from St James Grammar School in Stratford, St Joseph High in Trumbull, and attended the University of Bridgeport for three years.

She studied dance for 24 years and was actively involved with the Polka Dot Playhouse in Bridgeport, where she was an active member of the board of directors for ten years

She was executive director of the Miss Connecticut USA Pageant from 1980 to 1983.

Her mother, Lillian Morris; and her brother, Colonel (Ret) Robert C. Morris, Jr, survive Ms Morris.

A Memorial Mass of will be celebrated Wednesday, April 8, at 10 am, in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, followed by interment in St Rose Cemetery.
