Martlin To Offer Two CT

Treehouse Performances

Jackie “The Joke Man” Martlin – a former longtime cast member, head writer and stand-up comedian for Howard Stern’s show –will make a pair of a rare Connecticut stand-up appearances this month.

On Friday, April 21, Mr Martlin will be at Marisa’s Ristorante, 6540 Main Street in Trumbull, for a 10 pm show.

The following night he will be at The Treehouse at New Sorrento, 32 Newtown Road (Route 6) in Danbury.

Tickets for both shows are $19.50, and the opening act both nights will be Darren Dillon.

For 15 years Jackie “The Joke Man” Martlin was the head writer for the Howard Stern Radio Show. Mr Martlin was the main man sandwiched in between the female guests, Robin Quivers for all of Stern’s television shows, was in all three of Stern’s pay-per-view specials, and in the film Private Parts.

Mr Martlin left the show soon after releasing his fifth comedy CD. He has also released a pair of two DVDs.

Mr Martlin’s live shows open with an hour-long rant of rapid-fire jokes. He concludes his shows with “Stump the Joke Man,” giving the audience the opportunity to do their own joke and try to stump him over  the punchline. It makes for some truly hysterical improvisational comedy and gut-wrenching crowd interaction.
