Tireless Dedication

To the Editor,

I wanted to extend congratulations and sincere appreciation to Dorie Carolan and Donna DeLuca for their tireless dedication to Newtown parents. This year the programs presented at the forums provided by the Newtown Parent Connection were exceptionally enlightening as well as informational.

This is my first year as a participant in Parent Connection and I was erroneously under the impression that this was a group that gave information only about prevention of substance abuse issues. The idea is for parents to provide a safe environment for their children. No matter what you think your children are doing, it’s a great opportunity to be one step ahead with valuable information and creative ways to implement good parenting. This is sometimes an insurmountable challenge, but nevertheless, our responsibility and privilege as parents! Parent Connection has been a wonderful resource to aid me in my path to parenting. To all of the board members and volunteers who make this organization possible, BRAVO, on a job well done! See you next year.
