Jane T. Casey

Greatly Missed By Those Who Loved Her

Jane T. Casey, 82, of Danbury, died April 29, at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs Casey was born November 9, 1928, in the Bronx, N.Y., daughter of Elizabeth (Twomey) and Patrick Kelly.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, including son Michael Casey and his wife Caryn of Sandy Hook; two siblings; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Casey was predeceased by her husband, John J. Casey, Sr; two sons, Thomas and John J. Casey Jr; and a brother.

Mrs Casey loved to bake for her family, and every holiday included Grandma’s famous brownies and cookies. She was a kind and caring woman, who had a terrific sense of humor.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the support and care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of the emergency department and the oncology floor at Danbury Hospital. The family also offers a sincere thank you to the hospice caregiver for compassion and professionalism.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 4. Interment was at St Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
