Auditions For Town Players

Auditions are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, May 10-11, for The Merry Wives of Windsor, which will be staged by Town Players of Newtown this summer. Productions dates are weekends July 2-24 and will include one Sunday matinee.

Director Ruth Anne Baumgartner is seeking at least 11 males and at least four females for speaking roles, plus a number of actors as extras. Gender-blind casting is possible for some roles.

Auditions will run from 7 to 9:30 pm each night.

Please note Falstaff has already been cast, but all other roles are open. There are no roles for children.

Actors should be prepared to read from the script, and those who have not worked with Ms Baumgartner in the past may be asked for a prepared Shakespearean monologue.

Backstage workers are also needed; contact the director.
