In a story entitled “Students Offer An Inside View of Local Substance Abuse” published in the April 30 edition of The Newtown Bee, some of the statements made by a panel of Newtown High School students, who were identified by their first names only, were attributed to the wrong speakers. The misattributions may have misled readers about the personal experiences of some of the individual panelists. The Bee regrets whatever confusion these errors may have created.

In addition, one of the students participating on the panel was incorrectly described as having gone through a rehab program. The student, who spoke about his drug and alcohol abuse as a middle school student, did not attend a rehab program.

In a press release published on April 16, “Local Students Excel In Math Competition,” it was incorrectly stated that Michael Chung and Nat Proctor were both Sandy Hook residents. Nat Proctor is the only student from Sandy Hook.

There was a typographical error in the telephone number that was published in last week’s article about the Main View Greek Deli & Market on South Main Street. The correct number is 426-0546.
