Solve The Deficit & Debt Problem: Tax The Rich

To the Editor:
The 1st time in history Billionaires had lower tax rates than the working class.
In Connecticut the wealthiest people from 2021 earned $487,000 more than they did in 2013. The bottom 1/2 earning about $2000.
David Stockman (Reagan’s Tres Sec) in a book a few years ago said since Reagan’s tax cut which he engineered, the top .01 of income earners earned 1/2 Trillion dollars, the bottom 1/2 of earners came out even.
In 1960 the top earners were taxed 56% today they are taxed 23%

Leave the ‘Rich” alone. 50% of this country pay no taxes. And many get money back. The taxpayers on the ‘Gold’ coast here in CT keep Hartford and Bridgeport afloat. Run them out of town and see what happens.
The Rich give more than you ever will. It always is amazing why people thing the govermernt should be able to take someone elses hard earned money. Richard, maybe you need to work harder so you can pay your fair share
