Program On Chronic Headaches

NEW MILFORD — An estimated 45 million Americans live with chronic headaches and 28 million of them suffer from migraines.

Dr Joan Puglia, a neurologist affiliated with New Milford Hospital, will present a program on chronic headaches and migraines on Tuesday, June 15, at 6:45 pm, in the New Milford Hospital Robison conference rooms.

Headaches that include intense throbbing, nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, fatigue, neck pain, and light-headedness may be migraines. Studies show that approximately 19 percent of all strokes occur in people with a history of migraines, especially for men and women under the age of 50.

Dr Pulgia will discuss ways to prevent migraines and the latest on treatment plans. The program is free and open to the public. Preregistration is requested by calling 860-350-7215.
