Scholarships At NHS

The Enterprise Group of Funds Scholarship Program - $2,500 for one male and one female high school senior who are involved with the game of golf as a player, caddie, pro shop assistant or grounds crew staff member. Criteria include acceptable scholastic record at an accredited high school, outstanding character, integrity and leadership qualities shown through involvement in civic, extracurricular or athletic activities. Financial need is considered, but demonstrated need is not a requirement. The application deadline has been extended to June 1, 2001. Web address is www.nagce.org or www.expovillage.com. Federated Garden Club of Connecticut - $1,500 grant for a high school senior who is a Connecticut resident with at least a 3.0 GPA majoring in one of the following areas: botany, city planning, conservation, environmental studies, flora culture, horticulture, forestry, land management, landscape design or allied subjects.  Application due date is July 1, 2001.
