NCC Womenâs Fellowship Annual Meeting
The Taunton Winds, a family ensemble on flute, oboe and clarinet, will entertain the Womenâs Fellowship of Newtown Congregational Church at its Annual Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, May 30, at Fireside Inn in Newtown.
David and Pat Reinhardt and their children Andrea and Jefferey are the musicians and members of the church. They have been performing for several years for charitable events throughout the area. Andrea will not be able to play on May 30, as she will be making her Statement of Faith for her church confirmation.
The Womenâs Fellowship is led by Jane Landgrebe. Reservations for the $18.95 dinner that begins at 6:30 pm may be made with her at 426-9882, Betty Williams at 270-9931, or Charlotte Kalley at 426-0231. Guests are welcome, but reservations should be made immediately.
Pat Reinhardt will be representing the Music Committee as well as entertaining, and will be explaining the goals, ambitions and accomplishments of the committee of which she is a member.
The Reinhardts have participated in many of the worship ceremonies individually, with the choir, and various ensembles. They will be playing Mozart selections at the dinner.
Pat Reinhardt has a degree is music education and also holds a masters degree. She has played music all her life. She began teaching both of the children, but eventually turned their training over to professionals. Mrs Reinhardt is a music education consultant at Naugatuck Valley College, specializing in early childhood music education.
David Reinhardt, who is a data base analyst for Peopleâs Bank, was originally a saxophone player, who has since learned clarinet as an avocation. The family plays regularly with No Strings Attached and Silver Village Flute Choir as well as various ad hoc groups.
