Cards Sought For Praxair Cancer Center Patients

Area residents are invited to become CHEM-pals — Cheerful, Heartfelt, Encouragement, Message-pals — to encourage patients undergoing treatment at Danbury Hospital’s Praxair Cancer Center.

There are different ways to participate. Some examples are:

*Pick up a greeting card at your local store and include your own message or simply sign “a friend.”

*Host a card-making party.

*Make homemade cards from construction paper, card-stock or computer paper with your friends and family.

*Tell your local group or organization about this effort and ask them to become involved.

Card drop-off boxes are located inside the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital; at Ann’s Place, The Home of I CAN, 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury; and at the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown. Cards can also be made and will be collected June 4 at Newtown’s Relay for Life and June 5 at Family Fun Day in Newtown.

For more information, contact CHEM-Pals founder Kathleen Cole at 203-270-1615 or by e-mail at chocolatcole@sbcglobal.net.
