Doula Training Site Change

DANBURY — A change has been made in the time and location of the upcoming doula training in Danbury on June 22 and 23, 2001. The new location is at Danbury Hospital in the 4 Center A conference room, which is on the fourth floor in the center building. The new times for the workshop are Friday, from noon until 9:30 pm, and Saturday, from 8 am until 4:30 pm.

Doula training teaches students to assist women and their families in birth. Offering only non-medical help, doulas offer emotional comfort and informational support. Studies show that doulas benefit birthing families in many ways, including shorter labors and fewer interventions.
