ak/gs set 6/4 #741726
SALZBURG, AUSTRIA â The second edition of Salzburg World Fine Art Fair (SWFAF) will run August 9â17 at The Residenz, one of the cityâs most elegant baroque buildings. The fair coincides with the Salzburg Festival, the music and drama festival held each summer in Salzburg.
Salzburg World Fine Art Fair promises to be a major attraction to collectors, connoisseurs and art lover alike. More than 30 of Europeâs best-known dealers are participating, including Albrecht Neuhaus (Wurzburg), Konrad O. Bernheimer (Munich/London/ Hof, Salzburg), Dr Noth (Ansbach), Robbig (Munich), Kovacek (Vienna), Wienerroither & Kohlbacher (Vienna), Salis & Vertes (Salzburg/St Moritz), and B.&B. Steinitz (Paris).
They will be joined by fair newcomers Dr Stefan Brenske (Munich), Helga Matzke (Grunwald, Munich), Christian Eduard Franke (Bamberg) and Patrick Kovacs (Vienna). Many of these dealers are regular exhibitors at TEFAF Maastricht (The European Fine Art Fair, Maastricht) and the Paris Biennale des Antiquaires.
Salzburg World Fine Art Fair is organized by Bruce Lamarche and Teresa Jdedina. ArtCultureStudio (Geneva) will support them in an advisory capacity.
Salzburg World Fine Art Fair is staged in the elegant ambience of the Salzburg Residenz, which was built 1595â1619. Two of its most famous rooms play host to the fair: the Audienzsaal â where Mozart performed at the age of 6 before the Court of Erzbisch of Schrattenbach â and the Carabinieri Saal, where, only 13 years later â on December 12, 1775 â Mozart performed his Violin Concerto no. 5 in A major.
The Saal provides a magnificent ambience for the Salzburg World Fine Art Fair, which showcases a superb array of rare quality exhibits dating from early cultures to the present day. The rich mix of works of art on view includes fine furniture, porcelain, silver, jewelry, objets dâart, sculpture, works on paper, Old Master paintings, classical modern art, tapestries, contemporary art and modern design.
