Exchanges of materials have been happening across the district, with parents visiting school buildings to return items and collect things students left at the schools when distance learning began.

As of June 9, some efforts were still underway and others were done.

Middle Gate Elementary School held its drop-off/pickup day on June 6, and Head O’ Meadow Elementary School held its on June 9. As the photos from those days show, everything was bagged and ready to be exchanged in advance.

As parents drove vehicles up to both schools, a team of mask- and glove-wearing school staff and teachers were ready to load items into the cars and collect the returning items.

Head O’ Meadow had bins to organize the items being dropped off and everyone did their best to maintain distance. Parents were asked to remain in their vehicles, and as they drove up, greetings were shared from those standing outside the building to those sitting in cars. Many gloved hands were waved, directed at the students, who could be seen sitting in the back seats of cars.
