To the Editor,

I write today in support of Jennifer Padilla to be appointed for the open BOE seat being vacated by Rebekah Harriman.

Jennifer is an informed and dedicated steward for the children of Newtown. She has a pulse on the issues affecting our district, and has served in leadership positions of several PTA boards over the past many years.

Jennifer has shown a commitment to serve our students, our staff, and our entire community, and she is more than deserving of the opportunity to be appointed to the seat being vacated.

The Board of Education has an easy choice before them — to award the open seat to Ms Padilla so that she may continue the work of equitable and inclusive advocacy for all of our community’s children.
