Maria Orlovsky, 81, previously of Nunnawauk Meadows in Newtown, passed away June 28, at Danbury Hospital. Mrs Orlovsky was the wife of the late Mikhail Orlovsky. She was born in Kiev, Ukraine, a daughter of the late Ilya and Klara (Markovich) Royter.

Maria immigrated with her family to the United States in 1979, living in Brooklyn, Southbury, and finally Newtown. She was a longtime member of the Newtown Senior Center. Mrs Orlovsky worked with her late husband in their custom orthopedic shoe company, and previous to that was an assembler for the Marcel Watch Company.

Maria is survived by her son, Dimtry Orlovsky, and his wife, Victoria, of Danbury; a granddaughter, Nicole Orlovsky, of North Carolina; and a grandson, Tim Orlovsky, of Massachusetts.

Funeral services and interment in Newtown Village Cemetery will be private. Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, is serving the family.
