June Harriet Silos Sokec

Cherished Wife And Mother

June Harriet Silos Sokec, 63 of Fairfield, died June 21, at Bridgeport Hospital. She will be remembered by her husband, Anton Sokec; her two cherished daughters; her supportive, loving siblings, including Patricia Ann Sniffen, and her husband, Elmer, of Sandy Hook; many nieces and nephews; and her former husband, John Ciambriello. In addition to her parents, John and Jean Leslie Silos, she was predeceased by one brother, Paul George Silos, Sr.

Affectionately known as “June Bug” by her family and close friends, she had been a lifelong resident of Fairfield. She was the proud owner and hair stylist of Mr John’s Coiffures in Bridgeport. More recently, she operated a home cleaning service, and was greatly appreciated by her clients for her perfect balance of personal warmth and business professionalism.

Sunning on the beach, cheering on the Yankees, or cooking a wonderful meal for her family and friends were all enjoyable pastimes for Ms Sokec.

Funeral services were held June 25. All other services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be directed to The American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford CT 06108-3272.
