Eleanor Gillette

WOODBURY — Eleanor (Fusco) Gillette, 85, died on June 7, 2019. She was the wife of the late Earl Hunter Gillette for 58 years. Mrs Gillette was born January 8, 1934, in Westchester County, N.Y., daughter of Ferdinand Fusco.

She worked for many years at the Milford Trust Co and was office manager for the Voices Newspaper (while owned by John and Mary Jane Musgat). She was also the advertising manager for Bee Publishing in Newtown, office manager for Total Estate Care, manager of the Woodbury Center Plaza, and a corporator of Newtown Savings Bank. She also served on the Woodbury Planning Commission, the Woodbury Shade Committee, and was active in Boy Scouting.

Eleanor leaves behind her son, Earl Frederic Gillette; his wife, Cynthia; and two grandchildren, Katie and Maggie Gillette. Son Evan Hunter Gillette predeceased her on September 11, 2001.

Funeral services and burial are private.

It is suggested that contributions in Eleanor’s memory be directed to The Evan Hunter Gillette Memorial Fund c/o Woodbury Scholarship Fund, PO Box 716, Woodbury CT 06798.

The Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
