Edmond Town Hall is calling all soccer fans and supporters of US Women's Soccer to the Edmond Town Hall theater Sunday, July 5 at 6:30 pm to see the team battle Japan in the Finals.

The game will be broadcast on the theater's motion picture screen, and concessions will be available to purchase.

According to the Associated Press, the United States has won two World Cup titles, but none since 1999. The Americans have appeared in the semifinals of all seven of the women's tournaments.

The monthlong tournament has been played across six Canadian cities. It concludes this weekend with the third-place match between Germany and England on Saturday in Edmonton, and the title game between the United States and Japan on Sunday at Vancouver's BC Place.

The AP reports that global attention on the World Cup could give national federations incentive to invest more in the women's game. There is evidence it's already happening, said Tatjana Haenni, FIFA's head of women's football.
