Three Businesses Lose BBB Accreditation

WALLINGFORD — The Connecticut Better Business Bureau Board of Directors voted June 21 to revoke the accreditation of Cos Cob-based Home Improvements Plus, LLC because the company failed to fulfill its obligation to register with the appropriate Connecticut state agency and provide its home improvement contractor (HIC) number to Better Business Bureau upon request as required under BBB accreditation standards.

The board also withdrew the accreditation of Northern Landscaping of New Milford on June 21 based on the company’s failure to respond to a complaint forwarded to its attention, as well as a failure to renew the firm’s state HIC registration. Both actions are required for compliance with BBB accreditation standards.

In addition, the BBB Board of Directors pulled the accreditation of Danbury-based Picture Perfect Contracting, LLC on June 21 for failure to resolve a dispute. BBB accreditation standards require a company to be responsive by addressing marketplace disputes quickly, professionally, and in good faith.
