What is your occupation? I am the owner-operator of Kash & Liv Coffee Creations. I make all the syrups from scratch; I’m in charge of the ordering, and I make everything as people come in. I coordinate catering, too. If people want a cold brew bar or hot coffee set up, I’ll make the syrups they want, brew the coffee, bring it to the event, and make it look really nice. I also do pop-up events where I collaborate with other businesses. It’s so much fun.

Who’s in your family? My two kids, 3½-year-old twins; my husband, Dylan Tambascio; my mom and dad in New Milford, and my two brothers. I also have a bunch of in-laws, and they are truly my family as well.

Do you have any pets? I have a dog, King; and two cats, Roscoe and Anna.

How long have you worked in Newtown? My first Newtown job was at the Foundry back in 2015. Then I worked at Starbucks in college. When Dylan and I got married, I covered shifts at My Place and Tambascio’s.

What is your favorite book? My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

Who or what has been the greatest influence on your life? My parents. They’ve never taken me too seriously. My parents always supported what I did, but always said, “If it doesn’t work out, no pressure. Do you.” And, growing up, we always had what we needed and more. I never knew how much they worked. Seeing their work ethic has been really influential to me.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose? On TikTok, there is a woman named Alex Lourdes who was the first in her family to graduate from college. Now, she owns five coffee and donut shops on the strip in Las Vegas. If I could spend the day just learning from her, that would be really cool.

Who is your favorite musical artist? It’s still my same answer from high school: Eminem. And, he’s sober. As am I. It’s been almost 500 days since my last drink.

What’s the greatest piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Everything is a season — the good, the bad, and the indifferent. There was a part in my life where one of my best friends was over every day, and now she lives down South. At the time, I remember focusing on work being crazy or money being tight. You can be so hyper-focused on the negatives, you forget how good your life currently is. Then one day you wake up, and that season is gone.

What is something you can’t live without? Coffee.

What’s your proudest accomplishment? My kids. The majority of what I do is for them. If I did not have kids, I’d still be drinking. I just want to be my best version for them. They deserve the world — a present parent.

What’s your favorite travel destination? Boston. My husband and I got married there.

What is the best part of Newtown? The genuine togetherness. A great example is the Newtown Eats Facebook page. If someone has a question about food, or insurance, or events, everyone is just willing to help each other. I’ve been part of other town groups, but Newtown Eats takes the cake for sure.

What should The Newtown Bee cover in the future? More things to do that are kid-friendly. When you have kids, it’s cool to know about areas and events you can go to.
