To the Editor:

With unfortunate views and a penchant for letter writing, Ms Reiss (Legislative Council District 1) has been documenting herself into a well-established brand. Her latest letter shows a willful blindness on racism.

Yet Ms Reiss was invited into the political power tent, supported, voted for, welcomed and embraced by current office holders either because of, or despite, her beliefs. For officials acutely dialed into public self-image, you must recognize bits of this ugly have attached themselves to you, too. And I address this not just to the Legislative Council and to both political town committees but to Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, our state reps, and Board of Education.

I’m very familiar with the levels of outrage and froth demonstrated by BOS, LC, BOF, and state reps when something bothers them. This should be one of those somethings.
