To all Newtown Middle School and 5th/6th grade students - come on down and enjoy playing foosball, video games, pool, ping pong, or just hang out at the Teen Center. The Teen Center also provides music with a live DJ. When there is no DJ, bring your own music and listen to it on the Teen Center CD players. Follow the schedule below:

Basketball Camp – There are still openings in the Newtown Parks and Recreation Basketball Camps to be held in three sessions at the Newtown Middle School.

Sessions will be August 4-8, and August 11-15. Players in grades 3 to 5 will meet from 9 to 10:30 am while players in grades 6 to 9 will meet from 11 am to 3 pm.

Cost is $60 for the younger group and $110 for the older group.

Tennis Camp – There are still openings in the Newtown Parks and Recreation Tennis Camps to be held at Dickinson Park.

Sessions will be August 4-15. Tiny Tots will meet from 10 to 10:30 am, Beginners (grades 2 to 4) from 10:30 to 11:30 am, Beginners (grades 5 to 9) from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and Intermediates and Advanced from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Cost is $60 for Tiny Tots, $70 for Beginners grades 2 to 4, and $85 for Beginners grades 5 to 9 and Intermediate and Advanced.

Golf Quest Golf Camp – Players ages 8 to 16 can learn all about the game of golf at Golf Quest in Brookfield. The $226 fee includes greens fees.

Weeklong (Monday through Friday) boys and girls camps have already begun, but sessions remain on August 4-8 (9 am to 12 noon or 2 to 5 pm), August 11-15 (9 am to 12 noon), and August 18-22 (9 am to 12 noon or 2 to 5 pm). Girls only camp will be held August 11-15 (2 to 5 pm).
