Rotary Offers Free Trips
To India And South Korea
The Rotary District of Southern Connecticut is currently seeking young business and professional men and women, ages 25 to 40, who are interested in a free four-week trip to either India or South Korea next year. Except for incidental expenses this is a no-cost trip.
The purpose of the trip is to learn about the country, its people, history, business practices, and culture.
The tentative dates for departure and return home are India, departing January 17, and returning February 15. South Korea, departing March 26 and returning April 25.
One of Rotary Internationalâs themes is âWorld Peace Through Understanding.â The organization feels there is no better way for people to obtain an understanding of each other then to spent four weeks in a country living with local Rotarians and learning about the people, their beliefs and their culture.
Anyone who might be interested in learning more about this program should call Ed Osterman at 426-0430 as soon as possible because the required application must be submitted by the end of August.
