SOUTHBURY – The fourth annual Pomperaug Community Golf Tournament will be held Monday, August 25, at the Heritage Village Country Club in Southbury. The tournament benefits religious groups in Oxford, Southbury and Woodbury. The tournament will be a foursome best-ball, with modified Calloway scoring. Fee ($150 for adult, $100 for youths) will include greens fees, sandwiches and snacks for lunch, a gourmet buffet, prizes, and goodie bags. Registration and lunch will be at 11 am, a putting contest will follow at 11:30 am, and the shotgun start will be at 12 noon.
