The film stars the Academy Award- and Golden Globe-winning actor John Voight as the pope and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Glory) as the younger Karol Wojtyla. The incredible portrayal of the extraordinary life of Pope John Paul II originally aired as three-hour mini-series on CBS, but has never been released to theaters.

The movie was made in 2005 in cooperation with the Vatican and received a blessing from Pope Benedict XVI. Jon Voight was nominated for an Emmy, for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, and the film was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Family Television Movie or Special.

Admission to the screening is $2, and popcorn will be free. Copies of the DVD and other Pope John Paul II materials will be available for purchase.
