To the Editor:

We would like to thank Jason Shuttleworth, Jason Rivera, Jason Feli, Joey Corbo and Chief Ray Corbo of Newtown Hook and Ladder Company for generously donating their time to the children enrolled in the Design It, Build It, Launch It Workshop.

The children, under the guidance of Rick Lowry, created cushioned crates to encapsulate a raw egg which is dropped from a height, hopefully without breaking the enclosed egg.

The Jasons and  Ray coordinated the drop using the ladder truck extended to 60 feet. When their ladder truck was being repaired during our second session, Chief Corbo and Jason Feli went above and beyond by using one of LRM's bucket trucks to make the drops. Without them the experiment would not have been as exciting and successfull!
