At The Newtown Bee, we are working on articles every week for our readers’ education and enjoyment, and subscribers get the first — and sometimes exclusive — look at stories in print.

Among the features being planned for the issue of August 13, 2021, is a look at what Friends of Counted Embroidery-Laurel Chapter members have been up to in recent weeks; checking in on the renovations work underway at Newtown High School’s Blue & Gold Stadium; the results of the local women’s softball league championship; and an interview with State Senator Tony Hwang.

Reporters are also planning on covering meetings scheduled by the Board of Police Commissioners and the Parks & Recreation Commission, among others.

Our staff is also putting the final touches on this year’s Back To School supplement, scheduled for publication — and including those always important bus routes — as part of the issue of August 20, 2021.

There are plenty of stories and breaking news posted to newtownbee.com, but you’ll find full coverage in our print edition. For complete news about Newtown, join our subscribers in being in the know (https://classadz.vdata.com/Legacy/NewtownBee/Circulation/Subscriber/).
